This is a vintage Elgin Durapower dress wristwatch, dating from the 1950s.

It is powered by a manual-wind mechanical movement, caliber Elgin grade 683, featuring 17 jewels, adjusted and a sub-seconds complication. Made in U.S.A.

The watch features a beautifully textured champagne dial with applied gold-tone Arabic numerals and matching hands. A small seconds subdial is positioned at 6 o’clock.

It is housed in a 27mm square case with elegant curved fancy lugs, crafted in 10K rolled gold plate bezel with a stainless steel case back. The watch is paired with a brown leather two-piece strap.

This timepiece shows honest signs of aging consistent with its vintage character. Running and wearable.
